BABYMONSTER ready for comeback, set for summer sonic stage

‘BABYMONSTER,’ the new girl band from YG Entertainment, is no longer just a video sensation.

They announced their return, leaving behind a closed code to venture out into the world and made “an enormous impact”—until now that they competed with music videos for what is now known as the’monster rookie’ label—and their first confirmed stage is particularly impressive: at upcoming concerts such as Summer Sonic, billed under the Japanese name of Sonic Youth Festival.

The festival’s summer schedule has not been affected by the fact that BABYMONSTER was already announced to perform, but their early announcement suggests a strong desire to highlight their presence outside the venue through the Summer Sonic lineup.

A major urban music festival in Japan, Summer Sonic (SUMMER SONIC), will be held in Chiba Prefecture at the Zozo Marine Stadium and Makuhari Messe, both of which are large arenas with multiple stages.

BabyMonster has generated interest by announcing the “full group shot,” which includes Ahyeon’s participation after his initial debut was delayed due to health issues.

Over the weekend, YG Entertainment unveiled their schedule for their full comeback in April, including Ahyeon and six other members. The photo of all seven together was posted on social media last week, sparking strong discussion and indicating global fan anticipation for the group’s return.

‘BABYMONS7ER’ will be the official English version of the first physical (mini) album that BabyMonster will release on April 1 at midnight, replacing “T” as the original name and featuring all seven members.

Having made an official debut in the late of last year, BabyMonster have steadily built their reputation as one of the top fifth-generation group to come out with their first song ‘Batter Up’ and the follow-up album titled.

During this time, they have gained attention by using a mystique approach, which involves refraining from all external activities except music videos and related content. Their music video for ‘Batter Up’ and upcoming album – titled Stuck in the Middle’ has received over 200 million views on YouTube since then.

BABYMONSTER is a multinational structure, built on the success of YG’s previous 7-year cycle of girl groups that followed 2NE1 and BLACKPINK, with members hailing from Korea, Japan, and Thailand.
