aespa, ENHYPEN, and more K-pop artists to perform at KROSS K-pop concert in Japan as planned despite 7.6 magnitude earthquake

There are worries though, that a concert by several K-pop singers including ‘aespa’, BOYNEXTDOOR, ENHYPEN and &TEAM’ will go ahead as scheduled despite the 7.6 magnitude earthquake which struck Japan yesterday (after careful consideration) The organizers announced on 1 January 2016 that they had decided to hold the concert on 2 January, but also warned that an earthquake within Aichi Prefecture could cancel or postpone the event.

Ishikawa Prefecture, where the earthquake occurred on January 1st, is 250 kilometers (155.3 miles) away from the concert venue in Nagoya.

A 7.6 magnitude earthquake struck Ishikawa Prefecture on the western Japan coast on Monday afternoon, resulting in 20 casualties. The Japanese government has ordered the evacuation of more than 97,000 people in nine prefectures surrounding the area. NHK has reported over 140 aftershocks with over 2 magnitudes as of press time.
