Global box office surpasses $100 million, with excellent reputation

“According to foreign media reports, the new movie “Flower Moon Assassin” directed by Martin Scorsese and featuring Leonardo DiCaprio and Lily Gladstone has earned more than 100 million US dollars globally and a total of 152 million copies, as reported on November 30th, Beijing time.”

The movie premiered in North America at the end of October and earned a respectable $23 million in its first three days. CinemaScore was given an A-star rating, which highlights that the film is aimed at adult audiences and has performed well at home due to various reasons. It also secures the third highest North American wide opening achievement for Scorsese’s works, alongside “Shutter Island” and “Infernal Affairs.” However, the production cost is high, with both male and female actors playing opposite sides of the scripts being played by two children on stage off Broadway

The story of the famous Native American murder mystery in Oklahoma, USA, is based on David Grann’s best-selling book and written by renowned author Eric Ross. The Ossetian Indians were initially the wealthiest per capita in the world before oil deposits caused them to gradually die off after being discovered.

The FBI’s founder Edgar Hoover and the US government formed a new law enforcement agency after the case led to an increase in fatalities. The newly established FBI investigated the incident and found evidence of white people slaughtering Native Americans for financial gain, which was one of the most horrifying crimes in American history.

Among the cast is Gladstone as Molly Buckhart, an Ossetian who wed Ernest Buckhard (De Niro), the nephew of a powerful local farmer (Lee), and Plaimon plays FBI agent Tom White, who investigates murder cases.
