BLACKPINK’s “THE ALBUM” becomes the First Album by a K-pop Act to spend 1,000 days on the Worldwide iTunes Albums Chart

The band BLACKPINK has made a significant return to the K-pop and South Korean music scene with “The Album” in October 2020. This album marked their first full studio album in South Korea and their third overall. It seamlessly blended pop, R&B, hip-hop, EDM, and trap sounds while also embodying broader musical expressions.

The album’s success resulted in “The Album” breaking multiple records and revealing a more adult take on BLACKPINK. The lyrics explore various emotions, including the experiences of young women as they navigate different stages of life. Additionally, “Black Pikin” has achieved another milestone: topping the Worldwide iTunes Albums Chart with 1,000 days, making it the first and only K-pop band to do so globally.

The Worldwide iTunes Albums chart sees ‘THE ALBUM’ of K-pop reach the 1000-day milestone after its release in 2000!

‘THE ALBUM’ by BLACKPINK has made history by becoming the first K-Pop album to spend 1000 days on the Worldwide iTunes Albums chart.

THANK YOU, K-Pop! First listen to my album ‘THE ALBUM’ right after I watched it for 1000 days on iTunes in the past few weeks.

Bravo to BLACKPINK!
