South Korean TV station tvN will continue to suspend Wednesday and Thursday dramas next year

TVN TV in South Korea has been informed that Wednesday and Thursday dramas will no longer be shown next year.

TVN Television had announced in May this year that it would axe the weekly Wednesday and Thursday broadcasts due to changing viewer demographics. However, insiders say those dramas were actually suspended because of ‘poor financial condition’ of parent company CJ ENM and sharp drop in advertising revenue.

TVN TV has confirmed that it will continue to air dramas on Wednesday and Thursday next year, while suspending Monday and Tuesday drama series and Saturday and Sunday drama shows. Mydaily holds the rights to Guo Mingdong/Copyright and prohibits reproduction.
